2017’s Valentine’s Afternoon with the Arts a.k.a. “Champagne, Chocolate & Chamber Music”

2017’s Valentine’s Afternoon with the Arts a.k.a. “Champagne, Chocolate & Chamber Music” was a fantastic success. F&M Bank and the Arts & Heritage Counsel outdid themselves at this years (8th annual) event. The food and champagne was marvelous – crab cakes with real crab, hot artichoke dip, fresh fruit sticks, vegetable trays, so many tasty forms of chocolate goodies, and much, much more. As chamber music filled the air art-lovers strolled from table to table viewing the art and conversing with the artists. The variety of art for purchase included delicately beautiful wooden creations, photographs, acrylic, water color, and oil paintings, jewelry, ceramics, other original art work. Art in Action was invited to participate with a table of art.

All in all, the afternoon was filled with both relaxing conversation and exhilarating stimuli for all five senses. If you have never visited the 5th floor of F & M Bank on the downtown Clarksville Square, you have missed one of the best and most beautiful views of downtown Clarksville and the river.

Special thanks and recognition to Ellen Kanervo, Executive Director of the Clarksville Arts & Heritage Counsel, who once again organized a wonderful event and Marcy Helms, an Arts in Action member artist, who helped with the Arts in Action table.
